My name is Misty Lamb-Nelson and I love to bake and decorate! I am originally from Oklahoma, graduated with a bachelors and masters degree in piano performance and pedagogy.
You may be wondering how I ended up where I am today. The mountains are what drew me here: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting...I love it all. When friends of mine decided to open a creperie in Winter Park years ago, I was fortunate enough to start working right at the opening. With the exception of one summer taken off for horse back riding, I worked at Goodys Creperie, experimenting with recipes and decorating, while also taking classes with Wilton Cake Decorating. I soon took a job at Wild Horse Catering where I was the head baker and decorator for 6 years. Throughout those 6 years, I was able to really fine tune my baking and decorating, expanding my skills to bring popular decoration styles to Grand County brides. Now, I am an elementary and middle school music teacher for West Grand School District and am excited to be baking part time again!
I have an amazing husband who is the head pipe and slope coach for the Winter Park snowboard team and we have a spoiled rotten kitty daughter. If I'm not at school, in the kitchen, doing some sort of outside activity, or studying for school, you'll probably find me snuggling with Karina Kitty!
I love this county that I live in and see how we have a lack of places to get "made from scratch" goodies for events. I want to provide a high quality product that you will love having at your celebration!
